“Physics seem more logical to me and I am using it to better understand biology” says Lea Abi Nassif, Bienvenüe COFUND fellow working at OPTIMAG (University of Western Brittany – UBO) since October 2023. She is using optical properties of plasma to better detect recurrence risk of thrombosis, through a less invasive method. She tells us more about her project “BELENOS” and how Brest is the perfect place to implement it:
“At OPTIMAG, I am finding a team I already knew well, which was easier to prepare the future. Besides the equipment at the lab, I am also using UBO’s technological platforms such as PIMM (Imaging and Microscopy Measurement platform), which allows for example to study blood clots at the microscopic scale.”
Congratulations to Lea for being awarded a fellowship at the latest MSCA-Postdoctoral Fellowship for her upcoming project ECLISPE, still at the OPTIMAG lab, to carry her work on venous thromboembolism and the reoccurence risk!
