Bienvenüe +

Bienvenüe+ is an international post-doctoral fellowship programme aiming at attracting talented scientists to develop their two-year project in Breton laboratories. The programme is co-funded by the European HORIZON-MSCA-COFUND programme, the regional council of Brittany (Région Bretagne) and the 20 Host Institutions. The programme is coordinated by Région Bretagne.
It builds upon the first COFUND programme coordinated by Région Bretagne from 2020.
Bienvenüe+ is organised around the open, transparent and merit-based recruitment of 3 cohorts of 25 high-profile post-doctoral fellows. Bienvenüe+ aims to integrate the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) principles and European standards of excellence into Région Bretagne’s research programme management.
Bienvenüe+ follows a thematical rather than a discipline approach: projects from every discipline can be funded as long as they contribute to one of the strategic innovation areas of the Breton Research & Innovation Smart Specialization Strategy (RIS3).
The Bienvenüe+ consortium is formed by 20 complementary and internationally recognized Host Institutions located in Brittany, and the SATT Ouest Valorisation, which offers support for training and technological transfer. Only research units located in Brittany are eligible to host Bienvenüe+ fellows.
The fellows will be employed by one of the Bienvenüe+ Host Institutions within Breton premises : ANSES, CNRS, EHESP, Ecole Navale, ENS Rennes, ENSCR, ENSTA, Ifremer, IMT Atlantique, Bretagne INP, INRAE, Inria, INSA Rennes, Institut Agro Rennes-Angers, MNHN, Sorbonne Université – Roscoff Marine Station, Université de Bretagne-Occidentale, Université de Bretagne Sud, Université de Rennes, Université Rennes 2.
The Bienvenüe+ fellowship includes an attractive training programme (research-oriented and on transferable skills) as well as local support to develop innovative projects. Collaborations with additional actors in the academic or socio-economic sectors are encouraged through secondments and placements. Finally, dedicated staff will help the fellows to relocate in Brittany.
The upcoming call will open on 1st December 2025 and will close on 16th February 2026, with fellowships starting between September 2026 and January 2027.
